Tiziano Barone presents data about the Veneto work market and the presence of immigrants. He analyses the demographic situation, the needs of foreign work force and the future objectives to reach also at European level.

The migration officer puts on evidence the needs of building a network to pursue common objectives and of creating synergic collaborations between the organizations involved in the project. It underlines also the psychological impact of the presence of immigrants on the local population and the need to safeguard the foreigners, also looking at the future migration flows after the UE enlargement.

The “Service for the promotion of immigration and citizenship rights” is organized in two main activities: the assistance for immigrants asking for political asylum and the orienteering and information services for immigrants and for Italian citizens.
